What this involves
Alterations are the reason many customers first walk through our door, and the reason they come back with the whole family. We work on everything we sell and most things you already own: taking in a kameez at the bust and waist, reshaping a neckline, shortening sleeves and hems, fitting a saree blouse, adjusting a lehenga waistband and taking up a sharara. Measurements are taken over the clothing you intend to wear underneath, and we will tell you honestly when a garment cannot be saved rather than charging you for the attempt. Simple jobs are often same-day if you come in before lunch.

Alterations change your cancellation right — please read this first
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 you have 14 days to cancel a distance contract, counted from the day the goods reach you. A garment that has been altered to your specification falls outside that right. Once a hem has been taken up or a waist taken in for you, the piece cannot be sold to anyone else as new — so the cancellation right does not apply to the alteration, even if it does to the garment as it was sold.
None of this affects your rights if the work is faulty or not carried out with reasonable care and skill — in that case, come back to us and we will put it right. The full position, including the 14-day right that does apply to unaltered goods, is set out in the delivery & returns policy.
