Fitting, altering and making to measure.

A shop that only sells is a shop you could replace with a website. This is the other half of the business: taking a garment that is nearly right and making it yours, or starting from a length of cloth and building the outfit around you.

Alterations, made to measure and bridal fittings.

The full list is being written up for the website. In the meantime, message the shop with what you need — a hem, a resize, a complete outfit for a wedding — and we will tell you what is possible, what it costs and how long it takes.

How it works

Three steps, no surprises at the till.

Whether it is a hem or a whole wedding outfit, the order of events is the same.

  1. Tell us what you need

A photograph on WhatsApp is usually enough to start: the garment, the part that bothers you, and the date you need it for. For made to measure, bring the outfit you are matching and the shoes you will wear.

  2. We look at it and quote

Alterations are priced per garment — a lined lehenga and a cotton kurti are not the same job. You will hear the figure, and what is realistic, before anything is cut or ordered.

  3. The work happens here

Alterations and fittings take place on the premises at 89/90 Parnell Street. There is no workroom in another county and no courier in the middle of it — the person who measures you is the person who finishes the garment.

Not sure which one you need?

Describe the problem, not the service.

Most people arrive knowing something is wrong with the fit rather than which alteration fixes it. Send a photograph and a sentence; we will tell you what is involved and what it costs before you travel.
